Uttarakhand cancels winter break for Class 10, 12 students – education
The Uttrakhand Department of Education canceled winter break for students in classes 10 and 12.
The decision has been made to ensure that students complete their study program before the start of their exams.
In issuing an order dated Dec. 24, the state government said that teachers from classes 10 and 12 will be present at the school while teachers from other classes are not required to attend school.
However, the district magistrate may also take a call regarding the school closure depending on weather conditions.
The order is applicable to state government schools and those receiving government aid.
Following COVID guidelines, schools in Uttarakhand opened after a gap of more than seven months on November 2 for students in classes 10 and 12.
Meanwhile, the government of Uttarakhand, following the increase in COVID cases in the state, issued a notice on Wednesday restricting parties and public gatherings on the occasion of Christmas, New Year’s Eve and on January 1, 2021 in bars, hotels and others. public places.
