The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) had released the official notice for the 2020 Civil Service Preliminary Examination on February 12. The 2020 Public Service Preliminary Exam was originally scheduled to take place on May 31, but had to be delayed due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. The exam was finally done on October 4.
The UPSC Civil Services Exam (Preliminary) is the first stage of the exam and successful candidates are eligible for the main exam. The exam is objective in nature and consists of two jobs. The marks obtained by the candidate in the preliminary examination are not taken into account when determining the final list of merits.
Candidates who appeared on the UPSC 2020 Preliminary Exam had mixed reactions to the level of difficulty of the exam. Some had said that the questionnaire was easy, while others had found it difficult.
