Students can now seek provisional admission to CA foundation course after class 10: ICAI – education
Students will now be able to apply for provisional admission to the basic course of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) after class 10 exams, according to the new rules.
However, provisional admission to the basic course will only be regularized once the candidate passes the class 12 exams.
The new rules will allow students to become Certified Public Accountants (CA) six months before the current deadline.
“The institute recently obtained government approval to amend regulations 25E, 25F and 28F of the Public Accountants Regulations of 1988, which now allows the candidate to provisionally register for the ICAI Basic Course after passing the Class 10 exams. However, provisional admission to the basic course will only be regularized once the candidate passes the class 12 exams, ”said Atul Kumar Gupta, president of ICAI.
The basic goal behind the proposal was to allow students to provisionally register for the core course after passing the class 10 exam, he said.
“This will help students prepare for the core course while taking classes 11 and 12, thus giving students enough time to update their knowledge and acquire the skills necessary to appear and pass the CA foundation with flying colors. ICAI also offers free online classes for foundation students, which can be accessed anytime, anywhere, ”added Gupta.
After sitting for the class 12 exam in February or March, students would be eligible to take the basic exam to be held in May or June. Outlining the benefits of the new entry requirements, Gupta said, “Students can provisionally register for the CA Foundation course after passing the Class 10 exam, giving them more time to develop, understand and prepare for the course. professional”.
“Students will be able to complete a four-month study period while in classes 11 and 12 and will appear on the basic exam in May or June immediately after appearing on the class 12 exam. Students will be able to complete the CA course and become CPAs six months in advance due to early admission, ”he said.
