With Assembly elections scheduled for the state in April-May next year, speculation abounds that Ganguly could join the saffron party. He arrived at Raj Bhavan around 4:40 pm and did not respond to any questions about the reason for his visit. The meeting between Ganguly and Dhankhar lasted until 5:40 p.m.
Meanwhile, Raj Bhavan sources said that Ganguly’s visit had nothing to do with political developments in the state.
