Maharashtra’s Minister of Food and Civil Supplies and Nashik’s Guardian Minister Chhagan Bhujbal said on Saturday that school for classes IX to XII in the district’s urban and rural areas would resume from January 4 and that the civic and zilla parishad authorities should begin preparations accordingly.
He spoke to reporters after addressing a review meeting on the COVID-19 situation here, which was attended by collector Suraj Mandhare, Police Commissioner Deepak Pandey, Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) Commissioner Kailas Jadhav, the Zilla Parishad CEO Leena Bansod and Police Superintendent. “In view of the opening of schools on January 4, municipal corporations, city councils and health agencies must do micro planning for COVID testing of teachers and non-teaching staff.
All schools must be sanitized in the next few days, ”said Bhujbal.
Speaking about the vaccination campaign for coronavirus infection, Bhujbal said that 650 posts will be created to serve 100 people every day in the district.
