Re-opening of schools, college in Tamil Nadu will be decided on November 9: CM – education
The decision on the reopening of schools and universities in Tamil Nadu will be made during a consultative meeting with officials on November 9, Chief Minister K Palaniswami said on Friday.
Dates for the reopening of schools and colleges were announced earlier, but parents and the public raised objections. Therefore, the November 9 meeting was called, he told reporters here.
Asked about the reopening of tourist spots in the Nilgiris district, he said the government would consider opening them in phases and allowing tourists with certain restrictions.
In a query on the need to increase the EMP for tea leaves, Palaniswami said that the problem would be analyzed as prices were now Rs 30 per kg.
On the need for air ambulances to take seriously ill patients to hospitals outside the district, the Chief Minister said the government would consider the matter.
Palaniwami was here to inaugurate Rs 131 crore in development projects and to review the COVID-19 situation.
