Rashtriya Kamdhenu Aayog (RKA), the government body set up for the welfare of cows, has announced that it will conduct a nationwide online test on ‘gau vigyan’ (cow science) on February 25. There will be no fee for the exam.
Announcing the first such exam, the ‘Kamdhenu Gau Vigyan Prachar Prasar Exam,’ RKA President Vallabhbhai Kathiria said that this exam will be held annually.
“We are starting the ‘Kamdhenu Gau Vigyan Prachar Prasar Exam’ at the national level as of February 25, 2021. The cow is full of science that needs to be explored. It plays an important role in the 5 trillion economies of the country, “he said during a press conference.
The exam will be conducted in 12 regional languages in addition to Hindi and English.
“The Kamdhenu Gau Vigyan Prachar Prasar exam will be an online exam with 100 multiple-choice questions in Hindi, English, and 12 regional languages. The duration will be one hour and there will be 4 categories ”, he said.
According to an official statement from the Ministry of Fisheries, Livestock and Dairy, under which RKA operates, the exam will be conducted in four categories: primary level up to the eighth standard, secondary level from class 9 to class 12, university level after 12th + and fourth category will be for the general public.
The Ministry has said that no fee will be charged for the exam and the syllabus, as well as other literature and reference books on cows, which will be recommended on the Rashtriya Kamdhenu Aayog website, will help examinees prepare for the exam.
“Selected blogs, videos and other reading material will be uploaded to the official website. Scientists, businessmen, Gau Sevaks, farmers, youth and women, as well as seniors, will actively work to make this mega event a great success, ”said the Ministry.
According to the Ministry, the examination will be carried out in a transparent and impartial manner.
“The questions will be formulated in such a way that during the online exam there is no room for maneuver. The results will be declared immediately on the RKA website. Certificates will be given to all. Successful candidates selected will subsequently receive awards and certificates. Letters of thanks will be sent to all those who help organize this exam, ”he said.
RKA depends on the Ministry of Fisheries, Livestock and Dairy. It was created by the Center in February 2019 and its objective is “the conservation, protection and development of cows and their progeny”.
