Odisha schools to remain closed till December 31 – education
The Odisha government has decided not to reopen schools in the state for the remainder of the remaining year.
All schools in Odisha would remain closed until December 31, 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the official notice.
Fearing that a possible second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic could affect the country in mid-December, the Department of School and Mass Education (S&ME) in a notification said: “The state government hereby orders that all schools in the state will remain closed until December 31, 2020. “
However, testing, assessment, and administrative activities will be allowed at the school and online and distance learning will continue at the schools. Teaching or non-teaching staff may be called into schools for online teaching and tele-counseling outside of the containment zones.
