UGC-NET 2020 result: The National Testing Agency (NTA) declared the June / September 2020 UGC-NET exam results on Monday. The NTA stated that around 47 thousand candidates qualified for Junior Research and Assistant Scholarship.
“According to UGC policy, 6% of candidates who appear on both documents and obtain minimum qualifications together from both documents are declared NET qualified,” reads an official notice from NTA.
According to an official NTA report, a total of 8,60,976 candidates were registered for the June UGC-NET exam, which included 2,59,734 for assistant professor only and 6.01,242 for JRF and assistant. Professor. Of the 8.6 lakh of registered candidates, 5,26,707 appeared for the exam, which included 1,40,479 candidates for asst. teacher only and 3,86,228 for JRF and asst. professor.

Of the 5.2 lakh candidates who appeared for the exam, 40,986 candidates qualified for assistant professor only and 6,171 candidates qualified for JRF and asst. professor.
A total of 36138 candidates applied for JRF and Assistant Professor and qualified for Assistant Professor have only qualified for the award of the following National Scholarship:
4029 candidates for the ‘National Scholarship for Programmed Caste Students (NFSC)’
431 candidates for the ‘National Scholarship for Other Backward Classes (NFOBC)’
475 candidates for the ‘Maulana Azad National Scholarship for Minority Students (MANF)’
UGC-NET certificates for qualified candidates will be issued by NTA soon. The certificate can be downloaded from the official website at ugcnet.nta.nic.in, once uploaded.
NTA had taken the UGC-NET exam between September 24 and November 13 in computer test mode.
The exam was carried out in two shifts every day in 1,119 centers in 225 cities of the country. The examination was performed on 81 subjects.
“For this professional examination at the national level, live CCTV Surveillance was carried out through more than 2400 CCTVs. The use of Jammers was avoided in all centers through the use of mobile networks and other electronic devices. A total of more than 1700 inhibitors have been installed each shift. 19 Regional Coordinators, 214 City Coordinators and 525 Observers were positioned for UGC-NET June 2020 ”, says the official statement.
