NDA legislature party meeting Patna Nitish Kumar CM latest news
Today a joint meeting of the NDA legislative party will take place in Patna, at which Nitish Kumar will be elected as its leader. The decision was made at an “informal” meeting of leaders of the four constituents in Bihar: the JDU, BJP, HAM and Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) at Kumar’s residence.
The key meeting will start today at 12.30 pm and all subsequent decisions will be made. The current state cabinet will hold its last meeting in the evening where a decision will be made on the dissolution of the assembly, whose mandate expires on November 29.
Despite the BJP emerging as the largest party in the ruling alliance with 74 seats, 31 more than the JD (U), the top leadership of the saffron party, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has emphatically endorsed Kumar as the next. Prime Minister. He was declared the main ministerial candidate of the ruling coalition long before the electoral process began.
Although Kumar did not elaborate on what happened during the meeting at his residence, informed sources said that the issues discussed included the representation of each constituent in the cabinet and the election of the new president of the assembly.
There is much speculation that the BJP could push for an EBC or Dalit as deputy CM, although it is unclear whether the insistence will be on replacing veteran leader Sushil Kumar Modi, who has held the post for the most part since 2005, or replicating. the experiment in adjoining Uttar Pradesh, where two leaders hold the post.
