Karnataka CM will be changed after Bihar poll results: Siddaramaiah
Congressional senior leader Siddaramaiah reiterated on Sunday his claims that the ruling BJP will change the chief minister in Karnataka after the results of the Bihar assembly poll are released on November 10.
The statement came days after Prime Minister BS Yediyurappa had denied similar claims by Siddaramaiah as “irresponsible” and even said that the latter would be removed as leader of the opposition by Congress, after the defeat of the party in the by-elections to two segments of the assembly in the
“I have information that after the results of the Bihar elections on November 10, there will be a change. The talks have been going on for a long time, to change,” Siddaramaiah said.
Speaking to reporters in Shivamogga, he said that there are two or three factions in BJP and that talks are underway for the past six months to change.
“The information I have is that the central leadership is also eager to change as there is rampant corruption in this government,” he added.
Siddaramaiah had also previously said that Yediyurappa will be removed as CM after the November 10 grant results, and had based this claim on information from sources in Delhi.
Despite the state BJP denying it, speculation about a possible leadership change in the future, considering Yediyurappas’s age (77), refuses to go out, and some within the party like MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal give it credit with your statements.
Without giving much credence to the exit polls predicting the BJP’s victory in the Sira and RR Nagar assembly segments for which by-elections were held on November 3, Siddaramaiah said that while the ruling party was campaigning by distributing money, his party had gone to the people and therefore he was confident. to win both seats.
“Exit polls have said the BJP will win both seats, I’m not sure on what basis (the pollsters) have said that. I personally had campaigned for four days each in both constituencies.
In my opinion the liking of the people was towards Congress. I am sure we will win both seats, ”he said.
Exit polls have indicated that BJP will sweep RR Nagar and Sira in the polls.
However, he said that the exit polls that predicted RJD led Mahagathbandhan to win the Bihar polls were on the expected lines, as people wanted change, there was strong opposition to the Nitish Kumar government led by the NDA with unemployed youth and migrant workers not happy with the current administration.
Siddaramaiah also criticized the BJP government for the arrest of Congressional Leader and former Minister Vinay Kulkarni by CBI in a murder case, calling it “politically motivated”, and alleged that pressure from Union Minister Pralhad Joshi led to arrest.
