Expansion of the Karnataka cabinet may take a little longer as senior officials have yet to hold talks on the reorganization and expansion of the cabinet, Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa said on Sunday. While on his way to Chitradurga from the authorized residence ‘Cauvery’ to participate in various programs in Chitradurga and the Chief Minister of the Shimoga district, Yediyurappa, said: “We have to wait (the expansion of the cabinet).”
Cabinet expansion may take longer as the Chief Minister has not received any messages or approval from the high command leaders.
Yediyurappa has issued a statement to the media saying: “We both have to wait for the Cabinet to expand.”
Karnataka’s chief minister has already traveled to Delhi twice to obtain permission for cabinet reshuffle or expansion, but has not received any messages about Karnataka’s cabinet.
There are many aspirants, including those who joined the BJP before the formation of the government, curiously waiting for permission from the high command to see their names on the list of ministers. However, Yediyurappa has clarified today that once again these applicants have to wait a little longer.
Earlier on Friday, while claiming to visit Delhi, Karnataka’s chief minister had said the cabinet expansion will be done after three to four days.
Previously, on November 19, the Chief Minister had met with the national president of the BJP, Jagat Prakash Nadda, in the national capital.
On November 12, a meeting of senior BJP executives was held at the residence of Minister Ramesh Jarakiholi amid speculation about the Karnataka cabinet shakeup. More than a dozen applicants hope to be included in seven vacant seats.
