Vijayvargiya’s statement came days after Bengal Minister Jyotipriya Mallick claimed that 6 of the 7 BJP MPs would soon join the TMC. Mallick said that several leaders who joined the BJP recently are willing to return to Trinamool. But the final decision rests with Mamata Banerjee. They will be removed only if she allows it, Mallick had said.
Assembly elections in West Bengal are likely to take place in April / May this year.
