JNVST 2020: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) concluded the second phase of the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (winter destination) on 7 November.
This year, a total of 1,16,679 candidates appeared on the JNVST entrance exam at 579 centers throughout the country.
CBSE on its official Twitter account wrote on Sunday, “The second phase of the JNV (Winter Bound) Selection Test was successfully concluded yesterday. It was indeed a great challenge, but proper planning helped the board run the exam smoothly. This is the second review conducted by CBSE after the sharing and is expected to increase public confidence in the times of COVID-19. “
JNVST is non-verbal in nature, neutral in class, and designed to ensure that talented children from rural areas can compete without facing any disadvantage. It is designed and carried out by the CBSE as part of an institutional arrangement between the CBSE and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (an autonomous organization under the MHRD, Govt. Of India). JNVST is an OMR-based assessment on pencil paper that leads to admission to class 6 at JNV.
