JEE Main 2021: NTA releases answers to students’ frequently asked questions on multiple attempts, changed pattern – education

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has responded to students’ Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) regarding the major changes announced for the Main 2021 Joint Entrance Exam (JEE). Students had questions about the multiple attempts and the pattern Examination Modified for JEE Main 2021.

Question: What will be the benefits of multiple sessions in JEE (main) -2021?

NTA replied: The advantages of multiple sessions in JEE (Main) -2021 are as follows:

Question: Does the candidate have to fill out the application form separately for each session?

NTA: No, the candidate must complete an application form for all sessions. If you fill out now, there will only be one application form. If you fill out now (for some sessions), and choose to fill out the application for the other sessions later, the same Application Form will be shown to you later, once the Application Forms for the last sessions of / May) are started.

Question: If any candidate did not request the February session, can they request the remaining session?

NTA: Yes, if any candidate did not run for the February session, then they can run for the remaining sessions. The application window will reopen shortly immediately after the declaration of the outcome of the February / March / April session.

Question: Can the candidate request another session after the outcome statement?

NTA: Yes, the opportunity will be given to request the next session to be held in the March / April / May sessions. The application window will reopen shortly immediately after the declaration of the outcome of the February / March / April session.

Question: If a candidate can appear in one session or does he have to appear in all four sessions?

NTA: It is the candidate’s choice. A candidate may appear in one or two or three or all four sessions.

Question: Can the fees be paid together for four sessions?

NTA: Yes, the fees for the 4 sessions (February / March / April / May) can be paid at the same time.

Question: If the candidate must pay a fee for one session or all four sessions and when should the fee be paid?

NTA: When completing the application form, the candidate must choose the number of sessions they wish to attend and pay the corresponding fee.

Question: Has NTA changed the JEE (Main) -2021 syllabus?

NTA: No, the JEE (Main) 2021 curriculum is the same as last year. However, taking into account the decision made by different Boards across India, NTA has decided that there will be a total of 90 questions in the question document and the candidate will have to attempt only 75 questions. There will be no negative score for 15 optional questions.
