IOCL 2020 Recruitment: Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has released an official notice to hire apprentices in technical and non-technical trades at their locations in their 5 regions, namely Western Region Pipelines (WRPL), Region Pipelines North (NRPL), East Region Pipes (ERPL), South Region Pipes (SRPL), Southeast Region Pipes (SERPL). The online application process will begin on November 4 and conclude on November 22 at 6pm.
There are 482 apprenticeships in the mechanical, electrical, telecommunications and instrumentation, human resources, accounts or finance, data entry operator, and national data entry operator trades. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online at iocl. com
Educational qualifications:
Mechanical Technician Apprentice — Three years full-time diploma in mechanical or automotive engineering
Electrical Technician Apprentice — Three years full-time diploma in electrical or electrical and electronics engineering
Telecommunications and Instrumentation Technician Apprentice — Three-year full-time diploma in Electronics and Communications, Electronics and Telecommunications, Electronics and Radio, Instrumentation and Control, Instrumentation and Process Control, or Electronic Engineering
Business Apprentice (Human Resources Assistant) — Full-time Bachelor’s degree from a government recognized institute or university
Business Apprentice (Accountant) — Full-time Bachelor of Commerce from a government recognized institute or university
Data Entry Operator (Cooler Learners) — Minimum Twelfth Step But Below Grade
National Data Entry Operator (Skill Certificate Holders) — Minimum 12th step but below grade, and must also hold a ‘National Data Entry Operator’ skill certificate for training of less than one year
Age limit: minimum 18 years and maximum 24 years as of 10.30.2020, which is the date to calculate the eligibility criteria
Duration of apprenticeship training:
Technician Apprentice (Elec / Mech / T & I): One year
Business Trainees (HR / Accounting Assistant): One year
Data entry operator and national data entry operator: 15 months
Selection methodology:
1) The selection process would consist of a written test.
2) The written test must be of objective type multiple choice questions (MCQ) consisting of 4 options with one correct option. The candidate must choose the correct option.
3) There will be 100 questions in the written test and the total score will be 100. Each correct answer will take 1 point.
4) There will be no negative marks for wrong answers.
Exam pattern:
a) For technician trainees: of the total of 100 objective type questions, approximately 75 questions will be of the discipline in question at the Diploma level and approximately 25 questions about general aptitude and reasoning, general English, numerical aptitude and general knowledge, etc.
b) For trainees of commerce (accounting): out of a total of 100 questions of objective type, approximately 75 questions will be general accounts / commerce / finance and approximately 25 questions will be about general aptitude and reasoning, general English, numerical aptitude and general knowledge, etc.
c) For trade apprentices (HR assistant): The 100 objective type questions will be about general ability and reasoning, general English, numerical ability and general knowledge / awareness, etc.
d) For Data Entry Operator and National Data Entry Operator: The 100 objective type questions will be on General Aptitude and Reasoning, General English, Numerical Aptitude, and General Knowledge / Awareness etc, at Class 12 level .
