Himachal govt made online classrooms accessible through ‘Har Ghar Pathshala’: Jairam Thakur – education

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jairam Thakur celebrated his birthday by interacting virtually with students across the state and said the ‘Har Ghar Pathshala’ initiative was launched to ensure that online classes benefit students.

“The student should take the exam as a self-assessment process and not as a burden,” said Jairam Thakur when interacting with the students through videoconference.

The Chief Minister said that the exams are a process of academic excellence and a way that helps in the evaluation and assessment of the progression of students. He said that this pressure brings with it stress, anxiety and fear in students.

“The main reason for the stress of the exam was the notion that getting good grades is the only way to judge a student. To overcome the stress of the exam, the student must be prepared in advance, ”he said.

Jai Ram Thakur said that students were the future of the State and the Nation.

“I urge students to work with dedication and hard work to make their dreams come true. I urge students to always respect their parents and teachers, as they were the true architects of their life and career. There were no shortcuts to success. I advise students to be more careful during the pandemic, “added Thakur.

The Chief Minister said that the COVID pandemic has negatively affected the very way of our lifestyle.

“The State Government took several initiatives to ensure that students’ studies do not suffer from a pandemic. There is no substitute for offline classes, but online classes proved a boon for students during this period. This has not only saved the students from exposure, but has also provided them an opportunity to learn with the help of new technology, ”the statement added.

The chief minister said that the state government has started ‘Har Ghar Pathshala’ to ensure online classes to benefit students. He said that optimal use of Doordarshan to teach students was also ensured.

Jai Ram Thakur thanked the students for their good wishes on his birthday. He said the State Department of Education would seriously consider all suggestions from students to make Himachal Pradesh a more progressive state in the country, which was only possible thanks to quality education. He also said that the Prime Minister has effectively guided the nation through these trying times and thanked the country’s scientists for coming out with a vaccine for this virus.

Up to two thousand students from different schools in the State participated online in this interactive session.
