ESIC Recruitment 2020: 23 teaching vacancies on offer, check details here – education

ESIC 2020 Recruitment: The School of Medicine of the State Employees Insurance Corporation (ESIC) and ESIC Joka Hospital, Kolkata, have submitted applications for the recruitment of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor on their official website.

Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the positions in the prescribed format along with the required self-assessed documents by email to deanpgi-joka.wb@esic.nic.in or at the Dean’s Office by post / In hand on December 31st or before, 2020, until 1pm.

The hiring campaign is being carried out to fill 23 teaching vacancies, of which 11 are Associate Professor, 9 Assistant Professor and 3 Professor.

“Out of a total of 23 vacancies, 2 (two) vacancies are reserved for the category of persons with disabilities in the position identified only,” the official notification reads.

Candidates must pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs 225, while SC / ST / PWD candidates are exempt from paying the registration fee. “A draft claim of Rs. 225 / – in favor of ‘ESI Fund Account No. I’, drawn after 12.10.2020 at any scheduled bank payable in ‘Kolkata’ must be sent together with the application form at the time of the interview, ”reads the notification.

Academic preparation:

Professor: A candidate must have a recognized medical qualification included in the First or Second Program or Part II of the Third Program of the Indian Medical Council, Act of 1956. (Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Program must also meet the conditions stipulated in section 13 (3) of said Act) OR Bachelor of Dental Sciences (BDS) from an institution duly recognized by the Dental Council of India; and

A postgraduate degree, for example, MD (Doctor of Medicine) / MS (Master of Surgery) / MDS (Master of Dental Surgery) or a recognized degree equivalent thereto in the respective subject or related discipline.

Associate professor: A candidate must have a recognized medical qualification included in the First or Second Program or Part II of the Third Program of the Indian Medical Council, Act of 1956. (Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Program must also meet the conditions stipulated in article 13 (3) of said Law); and

A postgraduate degree, for example, MD (Doctor of Medicine) / MS (Master of Surgery) or a recognized qualification equivalent to the same in the respective subject or related discipline.

Assistant teacher: A candidate must have a recognized medical qualification included in the First or Second Program or Part II of the Third Program of the Indian Medical Council, Act of 1956. (Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Program must also meet the conditions stipulated in article 13 (3) of said Law); and

A graduate degree, for example, MD (Doctor of Medicine) or (MS) Master of Surgery or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective subject or related discipline.
