Opposing public welfare plans is fast becoming a “tradition” in Congress as people are losing faith in that party, BJP deputy Jyotiraditya Scindia said on Sunday. Speaking to reporters, Scindia, who joined the BJP after resigning from Congress in March this year, said that the people of the country are supporting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP and various welfare plans launched by the Center.
“In contrast, Congress opposes the schemes aimed at the welfare and upliftment of the public, which is becoming its tradition. This is why people are losing faith in Congress,” Scindia said.
Responding to a query, he said “infighting” in the state Congress was now spreading to the highways from closed doors.
