CBSE introduces ‘Facial Recognition System’ for accessing digital academic documents of Class 10 and 12 – education
In a move that may bring relief to many students, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has introduced the “Facial Recognition System” to access digital documents.
Using the latest facial recognition system, CBSE will allow students to download their class 10 and class 12 digital academic papers. This computer application compares the human face to a digital image already stored in the blackboard’s database. The computer and the human interact to map facial features.
Similarly, a live image of the student will be compared to the photograph on the CBSE admission card that is already stored in the repository, and once it is successful, the certificate will be emailed to the student. This app is now available from “Parniaam Manjusha” and Digi Locker at https://digilocker.gov.in/cbse-certificate.html for all 2020 registrations.
CBSE has already sent 12 million rupee digital academic documents to the Digi locker that a student can open to access the grade sheets, approval certificate, and migration certificate.
The latest face comparison facility is expected to greatly help foreign students and those who are unable to open a Digi locker account for any reason such as the Adhaar card or wrong phone numbers.
