The Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Indian Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAI) and the Netherlands-based Vereniging van Register (VRC) controllers.
The MoU would help strengthen and develop the accounting, financial and auditing knowledge base between the Netherlands and India, according to an official statement.
“Engagement between the leading institutes of both countries would help generate greater job opportunities for Indian CPAs and also greater remittances to India,” he added.
VRC is a voluntary professional organization and its members offer services in management accounting, financial accounting, integrated reporting, strategic control and risk management, and corporate governance.
The ICAI, the highest body of public accountants, has more than 1,500 members in the European region and around 80 members in the Netherlands.
“The contemplated MOU, to assist VRC, the Netherlands, will benefit ICAI members in the region and provide an additional boost to ICAI members’ prospects for career opportunities in the Netherlands,” he says. the notice.
