BJP Mahila Morcha chief Vanathi Srinivasan appointed
On Wednesday, the BJP named Vanathi Srinivasan the chair of its women’s wing, according to a party statement. Srinivasan will succeed Vijaya Rahatkar as head of BJP Mahila Morcha.
BJP Chairman JP Nadda appointed Srinivasan, an official from the party’s Tamil Nadu wing, to the post.
She had unsuccessfully disputed the Tamil Nadu assembly elections.
Rahatkar was recently appointed National Secretary to Nadda’s new team of officials.
The party also appointed Amitava Chakraborty as general secretary (organization) in the West Bengal unit of the party.
