All exams scheduled for Tuesday, under the jurisdiction of the University of Osmania, have been postponed as Bharat Bandh summoned protesting farmers, the university administration said.
The university in an official statement said that exams scheduled from December 9 onwards will be carried out on schedule and the revised schedule for postponed exams will be delivered to students in due time.
“All exams scheduled for December 8 under the jurisdiction of Osmania University have been postponed due to Bharat Bandh. The revised schedule will be released in due course. Exams scheduled for December 9 will be held as scheduled, ”said the Examinations Comptroller of the University of Osmania.
On December 4, farmers’ unions decided to intensify their agitation against farm laws and called for a nationwide ‘Bharat Bandh’ today, stating that they were not satisfied with the amendments to the central farm laws.
Farmers protest against the Agricultural Products Trade and Trade (Promotion and Facilitation) Act of 2020, the Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Guarantee and the Agricultural Services Act of 2020 and the Essential Products Act (Amendment ) of 2020.
