Army to begin recruitment rally in Secunderabad on January 15 – education
The Indian Army recruitment rally under the Unit Headquarters Quota will be held at the AOC Center, Secunderabad in Telangana from January 18 to February 28 next year.
The recruiting rally will be held for the enrollment of Soldier Tech (AE), Soldier General Duty, Soldier Tradesmen, Outstanding Sportsmen (Open Category), according to a statement from the Press Information Bureau (Defense Wing).
Sports events for outstanding athletes (open category) will take place at Thapar Stadium, AOC Center Secunderabad at 8 am on January 15.
Outstanding athletes who have represented in the field of Boxing, Soccer, Volleyball, Basketball, Handball, Hockey, Swimming, Wrestling, Athletics and Kabbadi can participate along with their National or International competition certificates either at the senior or junior level.
The certificate must not be more than two years old on the exam date.
The qualifying age group for the Soldier GD category is 17½ to 21 years and for the Soldier Tech (AT), Sol Clk / SKT and Sol Tdn categories is 17½ to 23 years.
The educational qualification for Soldier GD is Enrollment / SSC with 33 percent in each subject and 45 percent overall, for Soldier Trader (10th standard) it is ‘passed standard 10th (33 percent)’ and for Soldier Trader (eighth standard) is ‘Passed the eighth standard’.
The same for Soldier Tech (AE) is 10 + 2 / Intermediate Pass in Science with (PCM and English) with 50 percent in total and 40 percent in each subject.
For Soldier Clk / SKT, it is 10 + 2 / Intermediate Pass in any stream with 60 percent total and a minimum of 50 percent in each subject. Ensuring 50 percent in English and math / accounting / bookkeeping in class 12 is required.
A negative score of 0.5 points will be awarded for incorrect answers on the Common Entrance Exam.
The conduct of the rally is subject to the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic situation in the month of January 2021. The AOC Center Commander reserves the right to cancel the rally at short notice due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
