All educational institutions to remain closed in Odisha till Nov 30 – education
All educational institutions will be closed in Odisha until November 30 and classes for levels 9 to 12 will reopen from November 16, the Odisha government said here on Saturday.
“In compliance with the revised guidelines issued by the Home Office, the Government of India (GoI) vide Order of September 30 to reopen more activities in areas outside the Containment Zones and to extend the closure in the Containment Zones until October 31 for containment of COVID-19 and read with the Order of October 27, the State Government hereby orders that the guidelines will be in effect in the State of Odisha, ”declared an Order of the state government.
“All academic institutions will remain closed until November 30, 2020. However, the classes of standards 9 and 12 in schools under the control / superintendency / supervision of the school and the Department of Mass Education will open as of November 16, 2020, according to the guidelines / SOP to be issued by the School and the Department of Mass Education ”, said the Order.
Other guidelines include: the closure will be enforced within the Containment Zones.
Regulation of activities in areas outside the Containment Zones: International passenger air travel, except as permitted by MHA, will continue to be closed until November 30.
Large social, political, sports entertainment, academic, cultural, religious and other congregational functions will remain prohibited until November 30, 2020.
